How baitcasting reels work

Your classic baitcaster will come with a rotating spool that sits on the top of the rod and is allowed to rotate at high speeds to release and unwind the line as you cast. The ball bearing system will allow the line to be released at this fast pace while the process remains smooth and controlled. This type of reel is extremely handy when used for casting lures, as well as for surfcasting; they are also, as mentioned, very useful when it comes to focusing on large, strong fish.
